Kitagawa Leads The Way In Rotary Table Field At EMO 2011

Following the end of last month’s EMO 2011 – the international trade fair for the machining industry – we at Kitagawa are quietly pleased with the feedback that we received.  Held over six days, the bi-annual event provides the chance for manufacturers from throughout the world to exhibit their metal working machinery and have it compared to their competition.  With 2,037 exhibitors, from 41 different countries, the quality on show was excellent and EMO Hannover lived up to its reputation as the flagship fair of the international metalworking industry.  Even amongst such esteemed company, Kitagawa is happy to report that our rotary table selection on offer made a splash.

TW2180 Rotary Table

Whilst all of our rotary table solutions received much praise, there were two that especially drew the attention of attendees.  The first was the TW2180 twin spindle rotary table.  The 4th and 5th axis solution provides the capacity for multiple workpiece machining on a single set-up.  Performance is not sacrificed for convenience and the rotary table retains excellent clamping force, speed and accuracy.

TGRM530 Rotary Table

The second rotary table that held delegates’ attention throughout the event was the speciality TGM530 model.  Ideally suited for the machining of oil pipes on a machining centre; the Kitagawa TGM530 rotary table has an enormous through bore of up to 13 inches.  Whilst our competitors have produced rotary tables with similar capabilities; none have been able to package it in such a compact design.  Rotary tables with an equal through bore size diameter are all around four times the size of the TGM530 model.  Admirers of the rotary table were astounded by its compactness and left calculating how much such a model could save through the ability to operate a smaller vertical machine centre.
