Indexing Chucks Now Available

Kitagawa India have recently offered Indexing Chuck solutions to a customer in Maharashra. These chucks allow existing machines to be upgraded and provide precise workholding accuracy to components along with cycle time reductions. 
The MAD T Indexing chucks, manufactured by our partner in Italy, allow the customer to accurately hold his component and machine 4 x 90° faces and 1 x 45° face.
This self centering chuck easily fits to an existing or new CNC lathe with little modification; as it can generally use the existing hydraulic cylinder and power supply. The chuck is clamped via a drawbar, but the indexing is manually actuated via an Index Handle. 
Also available is the MAD V version which will suit all machine types, as it features both manual clamping and manual indexing.
For those newer machines dedicated to this style of component, the MD range give power clamping and power indexing. The existing lathe hydraulic system is replaced by a high capacity power pack and oil manifold. This precisely controls the index and clamping force. Indexing can also be carried out "on the fly", therefore reducing the need to stop the lathe for each index.
