Kitagawa Gearing Up To Exhibit Range Of Rotary Tables At EMO 2011

16th August 2011

It is exciting times at Kitagawa right now as we prepare to exhibit our NC rotary tables range at the EMO Hannover 2011 trade fair.  Held every two years, the six day event offers manufacturers from across the globe the opportunity to showcase their metal working technology.  Following a strong showing in 2009, we at Kitagawa can’t wait to return to Hannover on 19th September to show off our ever improving range of rotary tables.

We will be located in Hall 5 at Stand A53 and our display will include a selection from our whole product range, including power chucks and collet chucks.  However, it is the opportunity to show the world exactly what our rotary tables are capable of that has got us the most excited.

Since its introduction in 2009 the GT Series has gone from strength to strength and is widely considered as one of the finest rotary tables in its class.  For those that haven’t been paying attention to the GT Series in the last couple of years; we will be once again demonstrating its amazing clamping force through the display of a GT200 model.

Also making an appearance will be the speciality TGM530 model with an enormous through bore of up to 13 inches.  This makes it the perfect rotary table to easily machine oil pipes on a vertical machining centre.  What is striking is that any other rotary table with such a through bore is about four times the size of the TGM530.  As a result of the TGM530 compactness a smaller vertical machining centre can be used and thus machining costs can be reduced.

At Kitagawa we pride ourselves on being able to produce rotary tables that are suitable for all manner of applications.  To demonstrate our ability in this area we will be displaying the DM100 model which is designed for operation in underwater environments.  The DM100 is perfectly suited for use on Electric Discharge Machines; allowing for a fine finish on steel cuts, whilst resisting the electrical charge involved.

In addition the TT182 model will be on show fitted with the new VAX125 MC Flexible Clamper.  The VAX125 is designed to increase the capabilities of a wide range of rotary tables by allowing the clamping of various workpieces of every material, whether they are soft or hard.  Through the creative combination of the 3 types of inserts and 2 types of jaws available there are many clamping methods that can be utilised.

Perhaps the most thrilling item to be showing its face on the Kitagawa stand is the brand new DXR240 model, with so many advancements it is hard to know where to begin.  The DXR240’s high spindle speed does not come at the expense of performance and precision is improved due to reduced thermal displacement.  Perhaps the most astounding advancements are the 90% improvement in Mechanical Efficiency and motor torque improving by ten times in comparison to previous Kitagawa rotary tables.  All of this comes packed into a rotary table that takes less to maintain due to the fact that no backlash adjustment is required.

Whilst the models already touched on should be enough to pique your interest; they are by no means the extent of the rotary tables that we will be exhibiting.  We will also have a selection of twin spindle, left hand drive and trunnion bed rotary tables on display.  So if you are lucky enough to be attending the EMO 2011 event; be sure to pay the Kitagawa stand a visit.
